This is one of Troye’s best songs to date.

Australian pop star Troye Sivan has released his contribution to the Love, Simon soundtrack, and it’s a sensual slow jam.

On Strawberries and Cigarette, the 22-year-old reminisces: “Long nights, daydreams. Sugar and smoke rings, I’ve been a fool. But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you.”

The nostalgic pop number was produced by Jack Antonoff and originally recorded for Troye’s critically-acclaimed debut, Blue Neighbourhood. Back in 2016, the Aussie star said he brought his “a-game” for the session with Antonoff, but claimed it was “the most nervous” he’d ever been in the studio.

We have no idea how this didn’t make Troye’s album, because it’s one of his best songs to date.
